Carlton is full of fabulous businesses and very talented business owners. The Horse Radish is an extremely busy wine and cheese bar located here in the heart of Carlton. Not only is the Horse Radish a wonderful palate pleasing addition to our dear town, it also offers classes, live music and other entertaining venues to the list of things to do while in Carlton.
How long has the H.R. been in Carlton?
We opened mid-May 2007.
What inspired you to open the H.R.?
I always wanted to have a cheese store, and with the great pairing of wine and cheese, somewhere in the Willamette Valley would be perfect.
What is your favorite part of your job?
Tasting cheese, wine and enjoying people.
What are the top three things you love about Carlton?
(Not is order of preference!) .....people, wine, beautiful area.
Do tell about your upcoming events.
- Live music every Friday and Saturday evening
- East Coast Swing dancing lessons starting 3/29 (4 Sundays)
- Different local wineries coming to pour Thursdays from 5-7 pm and Saturday afternoons
- Various consignment art hanging which is rotated frequently
